This blog is about the travels of Cindy and Mike. We live in Toronto Ontario, Canada, and have had the chance to travel to many destinations around the world. The blog is written primarily by Mike, but many of the photo credits go to Cindy. My interest in travel arose at an early age after traveling across the U.S., Mexico and Canada while my father taught on sabbatical in Nevada. With our pop up camper, we stayed in many National Parks, highlights including Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Redwoods, Death Valley, drive to southern tip of Baja Mexico, Waterton-Glacier NP and Banff/Jasper. 

It was in Alberta near Banff that I took the URL for the blog site "small of the road". We were lost and came across an RCMP officer to ask directions, and he sent us off to the "small of the road" and then make a turn. We never did figure out what small of the road was, but I don't mind continuing the search...
